Castrol and Kitemark:
spreading the word

21 Oct 2008
Topics: Automotive, PAS 80, Kitemark®

Castrol and BSI Product Services have teamed up for a joint marketing campaign to spread the word about the Kitemark scheme for Garage Services, which ensures that the standards of PAS 80 and the Kitemark are met and maintained.

The scheme provides a service specification for the servicing and repair of automotive vehicles in garages. It was developed by a consortium of automotive aftermarket organizations, with Castrol sponsoring the development of the PAS along with Unipart, Straightset and Automotive Advantage.

The venture includes: a Castrol Vehicle Health Check leaflet to be given to Kitemark licensees that are also Castrol clients; a Castrol "mirror hanger" to carry the "Supporting Kitemark Garage Services" logo for use by Castrol network garages; posters for garage reception areas; the Castrol "Choosing Oil Made Easy" leaflet carrying the "Supporting Kitemark Garage Services" logo; the Castrol banner on the Kitemark.com home page and on the automotive section, linking to Castrol's Right Oil-Right Care campaign, with a reciprocal link to www.kitemark.com; plus other initiatives, including supporting brochures.
