Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu FSAS Inc have been awarded certification to the Business Continuity Management (BCM) standard BS 25999, becoming the first organizations in Japan to do so.

Japan's leading engineering and construction firm, Chiyoda Corporation, has been certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) by BSI Management Systems Japan. This is the first company in Japan's engineering industry to acquire companywide certification.

BSI Management Systems held three global Business Continuity launch events in London, New York and Tokyo on October 30. The events showcased BS 25999, the Business Continuity Management (BCM) standard and BSI's related training and certification services. And with 500 delegates in the UK, 190 in Japan and 140 in the US, it was an unqualified success.
